Like many customers returning their Spring Steps, I found the insole to be extremely slippery. I don’t want to spend the time and effort to find out if they eventually become more grippy over time. Even though they come up pretty high on the instep, they felt like they could fly off at any moment just walking around my bedroom. It’s too bad, because the taupe color is almost lavender and really pretty. And they feel quite cushiony and pillowy, which would probably be great for all the walking I’ll do on vacation this summer. Spring Step, please consider switching all your styles to a suede leather insole! I would buy one of each!

The fit and size were fine. The sole is soft and cozy; unfortunately, the actual shoe box is the problem for me. It felt uncomfortable and the stitches aggravated my (little) toe, in particular. For all it’s downy comfort the just doesn’t fit my particular foot as well as I’d like. Probably a great shoe for someone who has a differently-shaped foot.
